Christina Butler Named New CC! Relationships Manager

ChristinaButler200x200 (2)CHARACTER COUNTS! is proud to announce Christina Butler has been appointed to the position of CC! Relationships Manager. Christina has been a part of the CHARACTER COUNTS! team since 2008, and has worked in various capacities, such as Program Specialist and Program Manager. In this new role, Christina will be building relationships nationwide with Coalition members and Character Development Seminar graduates through fun and engaging regional events, informative webinars and monthly website activities. When asked what her main objectives are, Christina stated: “My primary focus is to expand the positive impact CHARACTER COUNTS! is making on youth of all ages, and I need everyone’s help to make this happen.”

Christina believes that the best way to get the most out of a school’s CC! experience would be to take advantage of all the benefits of membership, such as a 10% discount on CC! support materials, and access to free webinar recordings on topics like anti-bullying and curriculum integration. She notes that many educators can take advantage of membership from all aspects of the education world – schools, youth serving organizations, and communities that have committed to implementing the Six Pillars of Character.

It’s easy to become a Coalition member, just download a Membership Application and submit it to the National Office of CHARACTER COUNTS! A Membership Package will be sent out to you within two weeks. Once a school becomes a coalition member they have permission to use the CHARACTER COUNTS! logo on your organizations website, flyers, brochures and letterhead. Members are also able to:

  • List on the CC! Website with a link to your organization’s website
  • Eligibility for school, staff, student and parent recognition awards and raffles
  • Exclusive deals from vendors and partners of CHARACTER COUNTS!

The best part of Christina Butler’s job is hearing about the positive impact CHARACTER COUNTS! has made in the lives of youth. If you have any reservations about becoming a Coalition member, educators should register for the Getting Started with Character Counts webinar. Send Christina an e-mail at cbutler@jiethics.org or call 1-800-711-2670 ext. 812.

    Dear Christina:
Congratulatons on your new appointment as Relationships Manager.
From experience, African Moons, can attest to the fact that you are well suited for this position. In November 2012, the children at Ngarenaro Government School in Arusha Tanzania, were introduced to the first pillar of character. A team from Fresno, California spent the week teaching them the value of Citizenship. The week was a test pilot to grades 1-2. The response from the teachers and children was well received and now they are waiting for the next session. Sally Bruton Vann, Co-founder, African Moons, Tanzania East Africa.
